I’ve tried so many different strings. These to me feel the best. Durable

The NYXL has to be the best set of strings I've ever used. They're well made, very long-lasting and the tone is oh so sweet.

My favorite strings at this point are also from D'addario, but they are the pure nickel EPN version. NYXL seem equally as easily bendable, and good sounding but a bit clearer. These are pleasingly clear strings. I would say they are bright compared to the EPN pure nickel, but more like CLEAR with just a subtle hint of midrange bump in the right place to bring out the sound of your guitar. I almost can't decide if I like these enough to keep using them, but they seem to be pretty physically strong & they didn't need any stretching to keep tune. (although I did stretch them out of habit & for good measure). The prices for NYXL stings at this time is anywhere from around $10-25 per set, although they seem to hover around $15-20 at retailers in my neck of the woods. (SoCal). If I could pick these up for around $20 for 3 sets, I would probably make these my go-to. But I really prefer the smoother sound of EPN pure nickels (although only by a little-bit). Over all I would definitely recommend these strings, but I also recommend to shop around for the best bargain, as these seem to be over-priced in many places. I would say these are great strings at $7-10, but average at the $15-20 range. A fair price for these in my opinion is $12-15, since they are new. I think these should settle in at $7-10 when the price settles. I don't know how long it will take for these to begin to dull, I have used them for about 3 days & they are still bright as new.

What I like most about NYXL strings is that they have great tuning stability and last a long time. These are the longest lasting strings I have ever used. (I have been playing guitar over 40 years). They sound great as well and I have not had any issues with corrosion. (I always wipe them down after playing). I once had to throw away many sets of Gibson strings I had on the shelf long term due to rust, not so with these strings which are also sealed in plastic. They cost a little more but for the convenience / long life I feel they are worth the price.

Great string at a great price

I’ve tried a lot of strings, but I keep coming back to D’Addario NYXL Electric Guitar Strings. They hold tuning incredibly well and last noticeably longer than most other sets I’ve used. The tone stays bright without going dead too quickly, and they feel solid under bends without breaking easily.  Pros: • Excellent tuning stability • Long lifespan compared to standard strings • Strong, hard to break even with heavy bending • Clear, punchy tone Cons: • More expensive than typical strings • Slightly rougher feel compared to coated options Overall, worth the extra cost if you want durability and consistency.

These strings sound good on a Les Paul. Without amplification, there is a nice ring to them. With amplification (clean tone) the ring translates very well. The mid frequencies have nice body to the tone. I'm using the .09 gauge string set. I can easily bend whole tones and the string snaps back in tune. The strings withstand a good 30-40 minutes of playing with rigorous bending of the strings before re-tuning needs to occur. Even with heavy use, the strings will last probably 8 weeks before they sound 'dead.'

I am new to playing the guitar, but I have changed bass strings for many years. Changing guitar strings is an interesting adventure. This product offers a clever solution to that task.
