This is easy to take in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast and subsequent meals, it allows me to eat a smaller portion size than I could usually cope with. It does slow down digestion however and this is not ideal, so it is really important to actively get on with not just dieting but also to get your heart rate into the "training zone" to shift fat, this can be done with HIIT that actually gets your heart rate pounding, rather than genteel HIIT which seems to have become popular on Youtube, and will do less for weight loss, but may still help to regulate appetite, which exercise also does. This supplement should be taken away from supplements as it can reduce their absorption, so I take mine 2/3rds of the way through eating a meal and always have a gap after the glucomannan before eating. The product is tasteless, it is difficult to mix into water, I use the scoop to measure and stir constantly while gradually emptying the contents of the scoop, however, I feel this may be preferable to consuming in capsule form as it may be more difficult to estimate how long it takes the capsule to break down in the stomach and release its contents, and it may not mix and instead form a hard ball that causes dehydration later on in the intestine. Hence, I'll continue to consume in powder form despite the added faff.

This product is fantastic I have seen quite a decrease in my binge eating habits ever since I started using this powder before every meal. I did notice initially that it was quite hard to swallow even after adding flavoured dilute. The powder would form a thick layer on top of the water and mixing with a spoon often lead to clumps. UNTIL I started using a hand whisk to mix the powder in. Absolute game changer. Zero clumps and it is much easier to drink the whole glass without gagging. I highly recommend this trick if you have issues trying to dissolve it. Hope this helps!

I hardly ever write reviews, but I've lost 9 pounds in the last four weeks and this really helps. And that's with a two-week holiday in the middle of that period, when I ate everything in sight and drank loads (well, we were in the wine region of South Africa, you would, wouldn't you). I gained two pounds on holiday, much less than I normally would gain for two weeks of sheer piggery. And it was all gone again within three days. So overall it's been 9 pounds and I'm confident it will keep going. I only have another five pounds or so to go to reach my target weight so I'm probably not losing that fast anymore. So, about the konjac. It took me a little while to figure out how to take it without gagging, it is disgusting if you don't disguise the flavour. But I've worked this out now. I have bottles of sugar free bitter lemon (less than £1 for a huge bottle) and mix it with that. I put a heaped teaspoon of the konjac into a smallish glass, pour the bitter lemon over the top, stir until all the lumps are gone, hold my breath and drink it straight down. I then fill the glass with water again to get any remaining bits and drink that too. This way, I don't even notice the taste, truthfully!! The internet says that taking it 15-60 minutes before a meal is best, and that's what I try to do, but sometimes I've left a much bigger time gap than that - and other times I've taken it and then gone straight into the food. So from my experience that doesn't make a lot of difference. What I do notice is that I eat less. Some people on here have said it fills them up completely, and I don't find that, but it takes the edge off my hunger and I don't feel the need to eat anything like as much as normal. I then also seem to be able to go longer without needing a snack in the middle of the afternoon. Once or twice when I really did feel hungry, I just had another glass of the stuff and as long as you have the willpower to wait half an hour or so until it kicks in, it does really help to control that craving. But it is really is all about willpower - it won't make you feel like you had a proper meal. You have to have some self control too. At certain times of the month, I don't!! but the overall trend is good, it's easy to take now, and I'm certain it's making a real difference. I've also increased my levels of exercise. A note for those of you who might want to try travelling with this - I also bought the konjac capsules from Amazon and those are what I took with me on holiday. It's a lot easier to deal with than a powder and a spoon while you're travelling. But those are more expensive, so I went back to the powder when I got home and am keeping the capsules for when I'm out and about. good luck!

I have lost a stone so far using this product & am now for ordering the large bag. I have read the reviews on how other buyers have been taking it, stop trying to mix it in water or juice it doesn't work,in my opinion it's far easier to buy the empty capsules and make 2 of them up for breakfast then the same for lunch so on & son on. Swall with a pint of water before each meal and up your water intake throughout your day & in a day or so you will notice the hunger pangs are gone. You still need willpower to keep your hands out of the snacks but if you're determined to lose the weight this powder is a great helper.

I have been buying this for a while now, and I have deleted my previous review because my latest purchase hasn't been the same as previously, Amazon customer services I would give 5 stars to for sending out a replacement ASAP and this was exactly the same, so I am getting a refund. The problem now is that the product does not dissolve completely in the water, it sinks to the bottom of the glass and is gritty in texture, I contacted the Company directly and said maybe it's a faulty batch, but they did not appear to be taking this on board, their only comment was it need shaking and drinking immediately. I have had 3 packs previously so know how this product should work and it generally, when whisked disperses and expands in all the water not sink to the bottom of the glass. I sent pictures, even the difference in colour from their previous product. A bit scary if you ask me. So I am going to try another brand of Konjac powder as I think it's a great product for curbing the appetite.

I'm writing this having read about Glucommanan in Womens Health and was wanting to try it - this is the first brand and usage of it so as far have nothing to compare it to. I then ask that this review is therefore taken with this in mind, and a pinch of salt. (or perhaps not, for health reasons) As many online sources have suggested, I first tried it for thickening soup - I added 1/2 tsp of the cold powder to warm soup and it thickened within minutes, and I left it 10 before eating it. The powder wasn't lumpy but it did change the flavour of the soup, and the final thickness was similar to porridge (originally the soup had a more milkshake like texture) and the more I ate it, the more I felt it staying in my throat and oesophagus and felt increasingly sick. I think this experience has put me off using it and feeling like that again, but mostly what I learnt from this is that it's very trial and error (this particular brand has no information on the packet as to what is ideal usage) and it also would probably work better if used within the cooking and making of food, rather than an afterwards addition. Admittedly this was more a review of glucommanan than the brand of it - it comes in a resealable packet, get quite a lot for the price, is the real thing etc - so it's fine as a product, if you want it then it's good stuff, but the actual using it is something that needs a bit of testing to each individual person before getting it right.

It tastes disgusting. But it does work. I just couldn't get on with it though. I tried it in water, squash, fruit juice and even with my usual shake drinks. It just made me gag alot. I actually ended up buying another product for this. I bought a capsule maker and gelatin capsules. Much easier to take than putting it in a drink. I used size one capsules. The recommended serving equals 3 capsules. Just remember to drink plenty of water as stated aswell when you take them. This bag of powder made nearly 300 capsules Great product, poor taste.

Ottimo prodotto lo consiglio

No cumple con lo que promete y viene sin dosificador

good
